The clear night sky was as bright as day as the luscious full moon peaked over the hill tops of the world. Everyone in the town was wide awake, celebrating the first full moon they had in centuries. Well, everyone except for one particular character. She snoozed away in the bushes of a dusty old road. She laid on the grass as her midnight black hair trailed along the ground like ribbons. Her luscious legs were curled up tight against her body with her knee-high boots that hugged her calves tightly. Her black dress played along the middle of her thighs as she rustled in her sleep, trying to get comfortable. Her cat ears twitched slightly as the soft patters of people walking by, talking amongst one another as they continued down the road. One of her hands was covering her forehead from a previous headache she had before going to sleep. It slowly slid off her head to reveal that her right eye was covered by an eye patch. Her eyes shot open as she heard a pair of footsteps wander away from the dirt path and towards her. She quickly got up on her feet and readied herself for a battle. There were screams. Two small children became terrified of the girl and ran off, leaving behind their stuffed animals that they had won at a prize stall. She sighed to herself softly as she reached down to pick up the plushies. "What am I doing? I can't keep living like this..." She shook her head, threw the plushies back onto the ground, and walked out to the dirt path to wander into town.

The girl noticed that everyone in the town was staring up into the sky at the gorgeous full moon. She shrugged her shoulders and walked into the local bar. Everyone was singing and having a grand ol' time inside, but as the girl walked in, everyone became silent and began to whisper to one another. She roughly bit her teeth down tightly in annoyance and headed for the bar. "I'll have a Bloody Mary on the rocks, please." She told the bartender as she sat down upon an old wooden stool. Her long, fluffy tail hung down and touched the floor lightly as she seated herself. AS she waited for her drink, her eyes shot around the room as she laced her fingers together. What is everyone's problem?! They act like they are the only damn beings on this planet! She thought to herself as she bit down her teeth harder. The bartender placed her drink in front of her on the table and glanced up and behind her slightly. She sighed softly before she took a small drink of her beverage. She placed her drink back down upon the table top and then spun around in her chair to face a group of men that had gathered behind her. "And what would you boys like with a girl like me?" She asked with a small grin across her face as she leaned her back against the bar and rested her elbows on top. "Aren't you the infamous cat-girl... Paine?" One of the men asked as he pointed to the girl. She chuckled lightly and twitched her cat ears slightly. "Oh no, not at all. I'm a moose, can't you tell?!" She asked with a laugh and a large grin across her face as she made horn gestures with her hands on top of her head. The men growled softly under their breath as she did so. "You've got a lot of nerve coming here ya' know! Especially since you're such a wanted person!" The man in the front exclaimed as he slammed his fist onto the top of the bar, right next to Paine. By now, of course, everyone in the bar was dead silent and all had their eyes on them. "My good sir... If you know just exactly who I am, then you've got a lot of nerve messing with me. You see, when I'm in danger or get really pissed off, I seem to always black out. Do you know what happens at that point..?" She tiled her head to the side slightly and awaited a reply. The man clenched his fist tightly, with no reply. Paine quickly stood up, got inches away from the man's face, and stared at him intently in the eyes. "Everyone dies." She snarled at the man with a smirk on her face. The man then quickly shoved Paine back into her seat and punched her on the side of her head roughly. As she fell off of her chair and landed on the ground roughly on her side, she growled softly. "Do you really want to test me to see if all those rumors are true?" She asked the group of men with a small laugh under her breath as she stood up and wiped the blood off of her forehead that had trailed down.
